ELITE CAMP FORMAT Courtney Connor, Arizona State University's Women's Lacrosse Head Coach, will lead players through series of advanced sessions focusing on stickwork, small sided game play, offensive and defensive team concepts and strategy. The Elite camp is designed for advanced players where the ASU staff will be teaching high level techniques designed to develop each players skill set to the max potential.
LOGISTICS
Camp will begin with check-in, which will occur on July 22nd at 12pm. Camp will end on July 24th at 1pm.
OVERNIGHT CAMPERS KEYS - Room keys will be distributed to all overnight campers at check-in and must be returned at check-out. A fee will be assessed for any lost keys. ROOMS - Lodging will take place at Manzanita Hall and all rooms are double occupancy and are within a shared suite with other campers. Campers are responsible for bringing linens and towels. Campers are also responsible for filling out any roommate requests online within the registration process.
MEALS - Meal will be provided on the following schedule for campers: DAY 1 - Dinner DAY 2 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner DAY 3 - Breakfast
COMMUTER CAMPERS Commuters will be dropped off and picked up each day at the Sun Devil Lacrosse Stadium and will be signed in/out by the camp staff. Commuters will follow the schedule below: DAY 1 - 12:00pm drop-off, dinner will be provided, 9:00pm pick-up DAY 2 - 8:30am drop-off, lunch and dinner will be provided, 9:00pm pick-up DAY 3 - 8:30am drop off, 1:00pm pick-up
FACILITIES
Campers will indulge themselves in some of the finest athletic facilities in the country. They will compete on the Sun Devil Lacrosse Stadium while also utilizing the Sun Devil Sports Performance building where they will learn about strength/conditioning and nutrition, the Verde Dickey Dome during the mid-day session to cool down as well as the Plummer Aquatic Complex to relax and also discover new training techniques.
STAFF DIRECTOR - Courtney Connor, ASU Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
Courtney Connor brings phenomenal experience both as a player and teacher of the game to the Valley. As a player, Courtney won 5 NCAA Championships at the University of Maryland and was awarded Defender of the Year and NCAA Championship game MVP in 2001. A former US National Team program member, Courtney learned from some of the brightest and most innovative minds in the game. Immediately upon graduation, Courtney was hired as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for Mt St Mary's University, a Division 1 program in Maryland where she won NEC Conference Coach of the year in 2004. Courtney then took over at UMBC where she was named America East Conference Coach of the year in 2006 after guiding the Retrievers to their first ever regular season conference title. Her passion to teach the game has also trickled down to the youth as well where she has instructed youth clinics, camps, clubs and recreation program for over 15 years.
TRAINER A trainer will be available throughtout the entire camp to oversee minor injuries and sickness.
